Location: UMKC Students: Orientation is scheduled for 7:30 A.M. on the first weekday of the month in the HouseStaff Conference Room at Children’s Mercy Hospital. You will need to check in at the security desk, immediately upon entering the hospital. Security has a list of all students that we are expecting for orientation so you will simply tell them that you are here for orientation and you will receive a temporary ‘visitor sticker’.

Visiting Students: Contact April Gerry for Elective Orientation and Start Time information.
Elective Schedule Information: Monday-Friday, broken up into morning and afternoon tasks.
Educational Objectives: Observe technologists obtain imaging studies; Observe radiologists interpret and report studies; Generate reports for unknown cases; Complete online modules; Attend teaching conferences. Pre-test, post-test and a presentation on a topic of the students' choice at the end of the rotation.
